Hair Stylist
The aim of this course is to support you to overcome barriers to entering work. This course is designed for learners aged 19 years or over who wish to improve their chances of gaining employment within the hair industry.
These units will together help you to create Hair looks, learn new techniques, get a greater understanding of hair styles and gain even more confidence within the art.
Course Units:
This course is made up of six units including, hair ups, styling hair, bridal hair, setting hair, products and appliances.
Through this unit you will develop the skill of blow drying, dry styling and finishing techniques on a variety of hair types and lengths. You will work under the direction of a stylist who will help you to identify the capability of your client’s hair so that you can choose from a range of products, tools and equipment to complete the look. You will need to demonstrate the ability to use heated styling equipment to finish the service. Part of this service is to provide your client with good aftercare advice
Following successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress to furthering your skills in the hair industry
